Assalamu Alaikum. We are the practitioners behind Cupside Down Hijama Therapy — a spiritually grounded and wellness-centered practice rooted in the Prophetic tradition and serving the Central Florida community.

Though our paths to Hijama were different, Allah aligned our journeys with the same purpose: to revive a forgotten Sunnah and offer holistic healing with sincerity, compassion, and excellence.

One of us grew up being told he would become the first doctor in the family. He graduated with biomedical sciences but did not want to take the conventional path towards medical school as he saw that much of modern care manages symptoms rather than helping the body truly heal. Years later, discovering Hijama brought clarity — this was the kind of healing he was searching for: releasing what burdens the body, instead of masking it. He realized that true shifaa (healing) comes only from Allah, and practitioners are simply a means.

Kamila came to Hijama through lived experience, caregiving, and personal spiritual transformation. After witnessing illness and supporting others through pain, there was a deep desire to help in a way that honored both the body and the soul. Hijama became that bridge — a calling that combined naturopathic wisdom, service, and faith. It renewed a connection to the deen and sparked a passion for therapeutic care rooted in prophetic guidance.

Together, we created Cupside Down to “flip the script” on how Hijama is viewed today. Many Muslims are unfamiliar with it, yet we schedule oil changes for our cars more consistently than we consider detoxifying our own bodies. We wanted to change that — by making this Sunnah accessible, dignified, and beautifully understood.

Our mission is simple:
To cuplift the mind, body, and soul — restoring balance, releasing stagnation, and reviving Prophetic healing with intention.

Every session is done with care. Every client is treated with dignity. And every drop released is a reminder that Allah has created a healing for every ailment.

This is not just a service — it is ‘ibadah, revival, and amanah.
